YESTERDAY AT IBC


What a special day we had yesterday at Immanuel!


Following our worship service, our church approved Justin Meredith to move into a full-time role as Worship and Student Pastor effective July 1. We are grateful for Justin and Danielle and we are excited to see how God will continue to use them in the life of our church in the years ahead!


We also approved moving forward with our parking lot improvement project and officially launched our "Pave the Way" capital campaign. This project will improve the safety, accessibility, and hospitality of our campus while helping us prepare for future ministry opportunities. We are thankful for the unity of our church family and look forward to seeing how God provides in the weeks ahead.

VBS

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner and begins June 28! This is always one of the highlights of the summer at IBC, and we are excited to welcome children from our church and community for 3 days of learning about Jesus! VBS T-shirt orders are due this Sunday. Shirts are $10, and a sign-up sheet is available at the back table.


We also have a couple of opportunities to help prepare for VBS. Our Women's Craft Night will be June 15, and our Early Decorating Night will be June 17.


We are currently collecting several items to help transform our church into a rainforest adventure. Needed items include cardboard boxes of all sizes, jungle or rainforest stuffed animals (please label with your name), greenery, toilet paper rolls, paper towel rolls, and cardboard egg cartons.


Please continue praying for our volunteers, the children who will attend, and the families we will have the opportunity to reach through VBS this summer.


THIS WEEK at IBC


  • Men's Golf Fellowship meets Tuesday at 5:30 PM at Fox Hollow.

  • YOGA with Anice is on pause for the summer and will resume in September.

  • There will be no Wednesday evening activities at IBC this week as we encourage everyone to attend the Serve309 services at Calvary Baptist Church.

  • Our Women's Ministry will host a Prayer Breakfast at George J's on Saturday at 9:00 AM, followed by shopping at the Sip, Shop, and Stroll event around the square.


THIS MONTH at IBC


  • June 10 – Last Midweek Bible Study of the summer (Red Sea Rules - our kids and student ministries will have pizza and spend time outside)

  • June 11 – JOY Group serving the ARC dinner

  • June 13 – Liberty Association WMU Fellowship and Meal at IBC

  • June 18 – Blood Drive

  • June 20 – Men's Ministry Golf Scramble at Fox Hollow - Please register by June 4th!

  • June 21 – Father's Day, Baby Bottles Due, Student Camp at Crossings Begins

  • June 28 – Vacation Bible School Begins (No Grow Groups that morning)
